About Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

    The inception of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at SAN International Business School (SANIBS) in 2007 marked a significant milestone in post-accreditation quality assurance efforts. Established in accordance with the guidelines recommended by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC stands as a beacon for upholding and enhancing quality standards within the institution. Through a structured framework of continual reviews and scheduled meetings, the IQAC diligently oversees the implementation of various quality initiatives. Its primary focus lies in fostering excellence across all academic and administrative pursuits, thereby advancing the institution's commitment to delivering exceptional educational experiences.

Objectives of IQAC at SANIBS

    To create an effective learning environment geared towards fostering academic excellence.

    To deliver value-based education and bolster students' confidence levels.

    To guarantee efficient and transparent operations to achieve academic objectives.

    To incentivize departmental initiatives in organizing seminars, workshops, orientations, and faculty development programmes.

    To assess the advancement of academic and administrative departments within the institution.

    To forge partnerships with stakeholders and contribute to societal betterment.

Strategies

Shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for:

    Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks

    Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes

    Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society

    Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning

    The credibility of assessment and evaluation process

    Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services

    Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad

Functions

Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:

    Development and application of quality benchmarks

    Parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution

    Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process

    Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes

    Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders

    Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles

    Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement

    Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices

    Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality

    Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up

    Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC

    To foster pedagogical innovation and promote innovative teaching practices among faculty members.

    To advocate for the utilization of e-resources and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for enhanced teaching and learning experiences.

    To conduct Academic and Administrative Audits (AAA) regularly.

    To actively participate in accreditation and ranking surveys such as NIRF, NAAC, and NBA.

    To engage in the international accreditation process to ensure global recognition.

    To continually monitor student progress and maintain an effective mentoring system.

    To strengthen the Career Guidance and Placement Cell for enhanced employment opportunities.

    To incentivize faculty members to publish journals of international standards.

    To implement feedback systems covering faculty, curriculum, institutional performance, library services, and hostel facilities.

    To incorporate feedback from parents, alumni, and employers for comprehensive improvement strategies.

    To cultivate entrepreneurial skills and initiatives among students.

    To involve students in meaningful and impactful community service initiatives.
